Pharmaceuticals sold on Woolworths Online

Project Overview

Woolworths aimed to seamlessly integrate a 3rd party pharmacy retailer Superpharmacy's offering of Schedule 2, 3, and 4 medicines onto the Woolworths eCommerce platform, providing Woolworths customers with convenient online access to a broader range of pharmaceutical products and related health services, while ensuring full compliance with the Australian Therapeutic Goods Advertising Code and related state/territory regulations. I was responsible for the iterative UX design, research and launch of this offering after inheriting initial low-fidelity concepts and discovery.

The Problem Space

In 2022, Woowlworths launched it's Everyday Market initiative, intending to expand the SKU's available on it's eCommerce platform, it partnered with selected third party retailers to sell their products on the Woolworths website.
As a part of this offering, Woolworths made the decision to partner with Superpharmacy, an independent Pharmacy. The products that were to be sold included Schedule 2 to 4 therapeutic goods. These products have additional requirements and restrictions when it comes to their display as prescribed in the Therapeutic Goods Advertising Code.
